Newsletter

This component allow users to subscribe to your store, which will create them as Customers within your admin panel database. You can review the full list by going to Customers > All Customers.

Once a user subscribes, there are a few actions that will trigger or occur:

  • The customer will be created within the database just with the email.
  • If you have the Account enabled option enabled, within Settings > General > Emails > Transactional Emails, the user will receive an email to confirm the subscription.
  • Users will be able to create a customer account by clicking on the Reset My password link available at the Login page of your store (e.g. your-domain.jumpseller.com/customer/login). They will be provided with this link once they confirm the subscription.
  • If you have the New customer option enabled, within Settings > General > Emails > Administrator Emails, you will receive a notification when the user successfully confirms the subscription.
  • If you have the CAPTCHA in customer registration option enabled, within Settings > General > Spam Protection, users will mandatory have to complete a task that they will be asked by the hCAPTCHA tool in order to subscribe.

Note: Even when it’s a bit obvious, a user won’t be able to subscribe more than once with the same email, as customer’s accounts are managed by that value.

If you want to do more and take advantage of what this component provides, you can for example install the Mailchimp App to sync your customer’s list and send marketing emails. You can read more about it on the following links:
