Klarna was founded in Stockholm in 2005 with the idea to simplify buying. Today, it’s one of Europe’s fastest growing companies. In 2014 Klarna joined forces with SOFORT and formed Klarna Group, the leading European payment provider. Klarna Group has more than 1,400 employees and is active on 18 markets. They serve 45 million consumers and work with 65,000 merchants.

Jumpseller is integrated with Klarna, thereby adding yet another payment gateway option for our clients. If you want to receive payments with Klarna, it is easy to set up with your jumpseller store.

Creating a Klarna account

Start with going to www.klarna.com, select your region and then simply follow the signup process for selling online. For now, Klarna payment services are offered for Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Austria. If you belong to a region that is different from the ones listed above, contact us.

After you have completed the registration process successfully, you will receive the merchant ID (EID) and a shared secret.

Next you need to go to the Admin Panel on your jumpseller store and copy your credentials to Settings > Payments > Klarna.

On that same page, it is also mandatory to enter the URL of your store’s Terms and Conditions. If you don’t have one, you can create it on Admin Panel > Pages.
