Meta tags are a basic yet extremely useful technique for Search Engine Optimization (What is SEO) and have been popular ever since the early days of SEO. Today, they are commonly used by most websites. The purpose of a meta tag is to include your store reference information in your pages and products, so they are easier to find. They are invisible to a normal visitor but this information is very useful for browsers and platforms like Facebook. When you create a store with Jumpseller, the SEO is automatically set up. However, you can still customize it using meta tags for your store by following some easy steps. Let's talk about how to add a meta-tag to your products, pages, and categories!

Products SEO

  1. Once you have created a store with Jumpseller, go to the Admin page, click on Products > All Products > click on one or create a new one.

  2. You can see towards the end of this page a section with “Search Engine Listing” and an “Edit Product SEO” link.

  3. When you click on this you will have the option to enter a title and description for the selected product.

  4. In the sample, you can see that each input is a value of what shows on the google search list.

  5. Click Save once you are done.
